4 Essential Winter Products

My most dreaded season is here!  I must admit I highly dislike Winter!  Not only is it freezing cold but you get so many changes in your skin.  Living here in Southern California, well we are a little spoiled with the weather.  It is nice and sunny for the most part but mornings and nights can be freezing.  My lips and hands are the ones that suffer the most but the rest of my body gets a little taste of it as well.

So I’ve compiled my top 4 essential winter products that are a must have for winter survival.

1. Lip Balm–  My lips get super dry during this time.  They get cracked, stiff, and just don’t look or feel pretty.  The only thing that has worked for me is applying a lip balm to my lips everyday.  For the most part I skip the lipstick, unless I am going to an event.

2. Hand Salve– I’ve tried every single lotion out there to target my hands but none work as much as a hand salve.  It’s consistency is a lot thicker than lotion and although it is not as comfortable it really does the job.  My fingers get so cracked, my iphone doesn’t even recognize my finger print.

3. Sheet Mask–  who likes the feeling of a stretched out face?  You know that feeling right!  When your face is that dry, your makeup application will be a lot more difficult as some get dry spots, others get flaky skin, or simply lines get more noticeable.  Applying moisturizer helps but my face always needs that extra hydration to keep it nice and plump.

4. Clarifying Shampoo– as embarrassing as it may sound and look, my scalp gets super dry.  It is one of the most embarrassing things we go through.  It is a lot more common than people think so finding a good clarifying shampoo that will help clear all the impurities from your scalp will help you greatly.

So there you go!  You will be covered from head to toe from the evil winter.  What are your winter must haves?

Winter is definitely not fun here in Canada. It’s more than -20 degrees Celcius for the last couple of days and I am getting cracked lips. Gotta have a few lip balm to protects my lips from getting cracked. It’s no fun when that happened.
