Creating Vision Boards

We all have visions of what we want, aspire, and goals we have in life.  I am a firm believer that if you can dream it, it can happen so, why not remind yourself of this everyday.  One way of doing this is through creating a vision board.  This will not only allow you to have a visual of your aspirations but it will also keep you motivated to work towards those goals.  Recently I updated my vision boards in my room, where I spend a lot of time.  Here is what I did to get my visions in order.

  1. Visualize: first I sat down visualized my future and wrote out all of the things I wanted for myself and my family.  Then I wrote down what I wanted physically or tangible things.  Also, some of my goals for my blog and where I want to be in the future.  Basically I broke down everything into categories and some key phrases.
  2. Images and Text: next I went through some cutouts that I had done throughout time and just placed in a bag.  Most of these are tangible items but there were a few helpful text phrases.  You can get cutouts from magazines, online, advertisements, and just about anywhere.  Cut out images/text that represent what you wrote on the list.  It doesn’t have to be exact but just something that invokes that feeling and emotion when you see it.

3. Location: I place my pictures and phrases up on two vision boards.  I know they say fashion, and beauty but that is just for decoration, you can label them whatever you feel is motivating to you.  These boards are behind my door but on the same wall where my desk is placed so I see them every single day I go into my room to work on my computer.  They do not need to be in any certain order, just make it appealing to you.

These are constant reminders to work harder, try harder to get to where you want to be.  The only person who will be able to make those dreams come true is you because you know exactly what you want.  Remember to never stop dreaming, always be on the lookout for those clues that are put in front of you.  Get those clues and make them come true.  Make your vision of life epic!

I have always wanted to make a vision board but I just haven’t yet. You made me want to even more now! I’ll definitely need to start this project soon, good tips!

  3. I need to do this in the near future. I will seriously have pictures of chubbacca in every available aspect, to help me work harder.
