Staying Organized With Erin Condren Life Planner

It has been almost 5 years since I first purchased my first Erin Condren Planner and have been hooked since then.  At first I had no idea how I was going to use it, nor if I was going to decorate it at all.  I’ve always been the type of person who loves a physical visual calendar.  Don’t get me wrong, I love technology and it’s a great way to stay organized for some people but 0I prefer the hands on, write it down with ink method for myself.

We all know life gets busy and some of us juggle work, children, and a household, and it can become a challenge to remember all the activities and important dates.  This is where your old-fashion calendar kicks in.  It is much safer in my opinion to write it down and see all your activities in front of you, than to take the risk of loosing or erasing it on your phone or electric calendar(trust me, it’s happen to me before).  It is really up to you how you want to customize your planner and eventually you will learn what works for you and what doesn’t.  Some ways I stay organized with my planner are:

  1.  Washi Tape and Stickers: This is the what makes me come back to my planner everyday.  Seeing how pretty and colorful my planner looks, just makes it 100x more fun to write in it.
  2. Checklist: Having a to-do list for each week, or day makes it easier to remember what needs to get done.  As something gets done I check it of and ready for my next task of the day.
  3. Dividing my planner into the different areas of my life:  I love to use different color pens for this.  Color coding makes it so much easier to know what-is-what.  I usually divide my planner into 3 different areas:  Blog, Home and Children events.  I have a set color I use for those specific areas of my life.

For some reason every time I try to switch to another planner, I always end up coming back to Erin.  It is my planner peace as many say it.  There is so much to love about this planner like, inter-changeable covers, different layouts to fulfill your needs, and above all the quality is the best.

Get into the spirit of planning with me…trust me it is one investment you wont regret!  Check it out at ErinCondren.com

  1. Planners save my life because they help to always have everything organized and you know an organized job is a job well done! This then has an ultra feminine design and that is very empowerment! I want it!

Such a cute planner! All your ideas to stay organized are great too. I’m like you & would rather have it written down. I sometimes try to ignore my phone as much as possible so it’s not the greatest for keeping me on task. Lol

  3. I have always wanted to start using a planner bus somehow I keep procrastinating. This ounds like a good one, will check out.

I just use a straight-up ugly spiral notebook, lol! I have drawers and drawers full because they also serve as idea and writing places so all of my stories and blog posts and lists and ideas can be found in a spiral notebook somewhere. At work, though, I have to say I love my Google calendar and how easy it is to use.

  5. I do use a planner but I have never been good about using all of the planner accessories that make them so beautiful. I know that many people love the Erin Condren planners!

  6. I totally agree with you that an old-fashioned, physical planner is way more fun than using technology. I will have to check this one out!

Such a pretty and useful planner, just like all your ideas about staying organized. I too love to pen it down rather than keeping notes in my phone.

This is such a fun way to stay organized. I like to put my own creative touch to my planners. I use highlighters, stickers, glitter… anything fun. That way it would look cute and I would remember my appointments and “to do” list. Thank you for sharing!
