Acne is something most of us struggle with throughout our teenage years and even through adulthood for many of us.  It is something that can be hard on us both mentally and physically as it is not easy to deal with once it hits you.  Thankfully technology keeps evolving and changing.  Neutrogena® has now come out breakthrough technology with the Light Therapy Mask which will revolutionize the way you treat acne and is now available at Walmart over the counter. With clinically proven technology dermatologists use, it clears acne and allows skin to heal itself.

Twenty years ago when I had my first breakout, I wished for the day when I was older and my skin was clear of acne.  Boy was I wrong.  I’m now in my 30’s and still break out all the time!  As hard as I try to make sure my skin is clean and healthy, my skin always just breaks out.  I feel like this new technology helps going down to the root of it all.

As you can see, I was very excited to try the Light Therapy Mask because it was something I have never tried before.  I don’t have $500 per treatment, which is what light therapy could cost in a dermatologist office.  Once only available in Dermatologists’ offices, and now available at home with this patented mask, you can have light therapy to clear your acne, disposable at your own time.  How amazing is that!  I have tried so many products to try to get rid of my acne but never anything close to this.  This new technology is amazing as it has clinically proven results with 98% having fewer breakouts and results in as little as 1 week.  I really love that there is finally a product that will treat my acne without the chemicals because this mask is chemical-free.  This is something new I have never encountered before so giving this a try is so well worth it.  I feel like I have tried every medication to treat acne on the shelf but I believe nothing has come close to the Light Therapy Mask that penetrates beneath the surface which I believe is important to treat acne where it starts.  The way this mask covers my entire face, allows it to work its magic every inch of it.

How it works:  You must have a clean face to start off with.  Place the mask over your face and press the button on the activator.  Once activated it will treat for 10 minutes allowing the light to surround the pimple for effective, targeted treatment.  It uses red and blue light therapy; blue penetrating just beneath the surface to target acne causing bacteria, while red goes deeper into the skin to reduce inflammation.  This will go deeper than ordinary acne products as it reaches where  no other products can reach.  Therefore it will stop acne before it breaks through as the mask is designed to cover your face to treat acne-prone areas.  It is so effective 98% of people tested showed results.

After trying this mask for 30 days,  I noticed how my face/skin was not as red as it usually is.  There was less white heads and pimples were less inflamed.  I found myself touching my face less as a result of that, which in the end means less bacteria getting on my skin causing more breakouts.  I know this might sound gross to some but I noticed there was less puss filled pimples surfacing.  There were some that I believed were going to be puss filled but thankfully they didn’t develop enough to reach that stage for me.  This is something that I really found interesting because it was helping me target my acne as it surfaced making it look not as bad as before.  Overall, my skin looked a lot more clear and healthy after the 30 day period and I can only imagine how much better it will become over the next few months as I continue to use it.  I also found it to be very comfortable on my skin, and it was not hot whatsoever. I appreciated the viewing slot as I was able to multi-task while wearing it but it was also relaxing enough to sit back and catch up on some reading.

We are all very different and every skin type is different so we all have our routines that work best for us.  Learn how to build a skin care routine for acne prone skin in just a few steps.

  1. Wash:  this one of the top important steps to reduce any impurities and bacteria off your face.  Find a good face wash like the Neutrogena® Fresh Foaming Face Cleanser and Makeup Remover which will cleanse your face and at the same time remove your makeup, all in one step.
  2. Cleaning wipes:  After washing my face I like to use the Neutrogena® Cleansing Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes to make sure I removed all my makeup completely, as makeup can clog pores and cause breakouts.
  3. Neutrogena® Light Therapy Acne Mask: once all your skin is nice and clean, you are now ready to target your acne with the Light Therapy Acne Mask.  This chemical-free product will help treat your acne, penetrating deep into your skin.
  4. Mask:  This step is done only a couple times a week.  Typically I use a mask to help my skin target what it needs; moister, deep clean, brightening, or whatever may be needed a boost of.  The Neutrogena® Face Sheet Masks give you what your skin needs in a convenient way.
  5.  Moisturize: This is very important to keep your skin supple, as moisturizers help improve your skins hydration.  So even if you have oily skin, you can benefit from a moisturizer to help the texture of your skin.  Neutrogena® Hyddro Boost Water Gel is an oil-free and absorbs quickly in your skin.  It does not leave a greasy feeling and can be worn under makeup.

If you are looking to try a new way to treat acne and allow your skin to heal without chemicals the Neutrogena® Light Therapy Acne Mask is a must try.  It is extremely easy to use and lightweight, making it comfortable for a relaxing treatment.    Also, it is important to know that the mask is FDA cleared, UVA/UVB-free.

The best part is that if you break it down, it is only .50 cents a day with the Light Therapy Mask only being $30 and after that initial purchase of the mask, you will only be paying $14.97/month at Walmart, for the activator.  Right now there are some stickered products for $10 off and expiring 12/31/18.  You can find it at Walmart, close to the beauty section, along the shelves with all the skin products.  You can also purchase the Light Therapy Acne Spot Treatment for treating less serious acne-prone skin.  It is incredible to know that there is finally a breakthrough product that treats acne like the Neutrogena® Light Therapy Acne Mask, that allows skin to heal itself, for skin so clear and healthy, it glows.

Neutrogena is a trustworthy brand, I will give it a try. I have acne prone skin and i am in my 30s…. the only advantage of having oily skin is less wrinkles and signs of aging in the future. Meanwhile I guess we have to struggle with break outs! it’s reassuring to know this mask has positive effects.
