Monthly Picks: July 2017

We are officially closer to the end of the year and beginning of the new year.  Crazy to think of it that way.  It has been extremely hot in Southern California, and there has been some product fails but some good ones worth sharing as well.  So, this is what I am currently loving!

Rimmel London Stay Matte Press Powder in Translucent($5.49): Seriously this is one of my favorite powders to set my makeup because it does not add color and it mattifies your face without the caked feel.  It is super light weight and leaves your skin super smooth.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray($32):  With these hot temperatures our makeup doesn’t last all that long but we can extend its staying power by using a setting spray.  This one is oil free and it has temperature control technology.

Kat Von D Light + Shade Pallet($48):  Been reaching out for this pallet very frequently simply because during the summer my look is very simple and like using more tone down matte shadows(full review here).

Elf Lip Exfoliator($3.90):  For the bargain this lip exfoliator is really a great one.  Removes all the dead skin off your lips, leaving a nice smooth surface.

Lancome Matte Shaker($22.00):  I was not such a big fan of these shakers at first but this slowly grew on me.  They are super light on the lips and the pigmentation is amazing.  The only thing I am not a fan of is the applicator; for my small lips this applicator seems to be too big so it is hard to control.

Neutrogena Sheer Oil Lotion($5.29): If you don’t like the way lotion feels on your body like me, then this lotion is for you.  I hate having that thick, heavy feel of lotion on my body; never been a fan.  This lotion is really sheer and it absorbs supper fast into your skin, leaving your skin feeling soft without the oily feel.

Nature Made Hair/Skin/Nails Gummy Vitamin($9.99):  Guess this fits into other categories as well.  Ever since my last baby delivery my nails became super brittle and would break often.  My hair was falling off so much that I thought I was going to become bald if I didn’t put a stop to it.  I came upon these supplements that contained Biotin which is good for so many reasons.  I have really noticed a big difference in my nails as they do not break as easy and my hair has stopped falling by the dozen.  I feel like they are truly helping my system process and who can resist a gummy?

Neutrogena Shampoo Anti-Residue($4.97): When I don’t wash my hair for days, I need something that will clear my scalp and remove all the residue from hair products. This shampoo really helps my scalp feel squeaky clean.

Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask($5.99): Lets face it, we always forget to protect our hair from the sun, right? So it can become more dry and brittle than usual. This mask will help you restore your dry hair into soft, and shinny hair.  Only use once a week and you will see the difference in your hair.

What are your summer favorites?
